Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the “Fondetta” vineyard, part of the “Nervo” cru in the village of Treiso. The vines grow on the southern side of the hill at 310–370 metres above sea level, in well-drained soils.
Vinification
The grapes are usually harvested in the first week of October. Fermentation and maceration take place for 22 days in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 30–32 °C. Alcoholic fermentation is followed by one month of malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine ages for 12–15 months in large oak casks, then matures for 12 months in stainless-steel and concrete tanks. After bottling, it rests for an additional unspecified period and is released three years after the harvest.
