Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from Montalcino in the province of Siena, Tuscany, Italy. The vineyards stand at 280–320 m above sea level and are trained to a low spurred-cordon system.

100% Sangiovese Grosso.
Vinification
Harvest takes place during the first week of October.
Ageing
The wine matures for 4 months in stainless-steel tanks and a further 9 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. The large casks contribute softness and elegance.

Tasting profile
Intense ruby red. The bouquet is intense, persistent and refined, combining floral and fruity characters with ripe red fruit and fresh rose aromas. The palate is dry, warm, soft and full-bodied, with moderate freshness, savoury character and soft, silky tannins. It is balanced, lively, intense and persistent. The finish is long, with acidity providing freshness and lift.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 18°C. Pair with Tuscan starters, white or red meats, cured meats and medium-aged cheeses. Its versatile profile also suits both uncomplicated fare and more elaborate dishes, and it can be enjoyed young or after ageing.
