Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the estate’s youngest vines, cultivated at 280–320 metres above sea level in the Val d’Orcia Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, within the municipality of Montalcino. The vines are trained to a low spurred cordon system, and harvest takes place during the final week of September.
Grapes
100% Sangiovese Grosso. The wine is conceived to emphasize the variety’s fruit character while remaining rooted in Tuscan tradition.
Ageing
Ageing takes place in large Slavonian oak barrels. The large casks soften the wine’s texture while preserving and enhancing the fruity and floral aromas associated with its place of origin. The wine is also intended to develop well in bottle.
