Grapes

Brachetto, a rare variety preserved in Scarpa's vineyards.

Vinification

The grapes undergo 12 days of skin maceration in a 50 hL stainless-steel tank. Two manual pump-overs are performed each day. Once alcoholic fermentation has ended, the wine is racked into stainless-steel tanks, where malolactic fermentation is completed.

Ageing

The wine matures for nine months in stainless-steel tanks before bottling.

Technical data

The wine is classified as Brachetto d'Acqui DOCG Secco. It is bottled in a 0.75 L Bordeaux bottle branded with the Scarpa logo.
