Vigneto Bucerchiale is a single-vineyard expression of Sangiovese from Selvapiana in Rufina. It was conceived to capture the character of the grape, the Rufina territory and the estate itself.

The wine was created with long-term ageing in mind.
Label / history
Francesco Giuntini created Vigneto Bucerchiale with consulting oenologist Franco Bernabei. The inaugural 1979 vintage was Bernabei’s second harvest at Selvapiana and established the wine as the estate’s flagship.
Vigneto Bucerchiale is made only in selected vintages. It was not bottled in 1980, 1987, 1989, 1991, 1992, 1997, 2002, 2005 or 2008.
