Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from hillside vineyards in Valpolicella Classica. The sites lie at an average altitude of 250–300 metres and face south-east and south-west. The soils are predominantly Cretaceous and calcareous, with abundant stones. Vines average 10–15 years of age and are Guyot trained, with eight to ten buds per plant. Yield is 100 quintals per hectare.
Grapes
85% Corvina Veronese, 10% Rondinella and 5% Corvinone.
Vinification
The grapes are picked by hand during the first ten days of October. Destemming and crushing are followed by ten days of traditional maceration in stainless-steel vinifiers. At the end of alcoholic fermentation, gentle pressing separates the wine from the skins.
Ageing
Approximately 12 months in oak tonneaux. The wood passage adds an integrated spicy dimension to the fresh fruit profile.

The 2022 Wine Club release is labelled at 13.5% alcohol. Serving temperature: 18°C.

Ruby red. The bouquet is delicate and characteristic, recalling sour cherries and woodland berries; additional notes include almond, violet and crisp cherry with finely integrated spice. The palate is dry, mineral, soft and velvety, with good structure and fresh cherry and plum flavours. Its finish is long and persistent.
