Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from Vigna le Viscarde at Tenuta Flaminio. The vineyard covers 6 hectares, has a north–south orientation and lies on limestone-clay soil. The vines are trained using bilateral spurred cordon and Guyot systems.
Grapes
A blend of Malvasia Bianca, Moscato and Falanghina.
Vinification
Harvest takes place during the first ten days of September. The grapes are carefully selected, hand-picked into crates and dried on racks. They are then destemmed and pressed. After cold static clarification, temperature-controlled fermentation proceeds in thermoregulated stainless-steel tanks for 20–30 days.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months in Allier oak pièces, followed by 3 months in bottle.
Tasting profile
Golden yellow with subtle amber reflections. The nose is intense, persistent and elegant, with notes of citrus-fruit preserve, honey and candied fruit. The palate is rich and smooth, full-bodied, sweet and mellow, with a lingering finish. Its sense of fullness is balanced by a vertical impression of freshness.
