Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
Glera is selected from vineyards in Mortegliano, Udine, in Friuli Venezia Giulia. The vines grow on alluvial soils rich in skeleton with north–south exposure and are managed through integrated agriculture intended to reduce environmental impact. Free-spurred-cordon training is used at no more than 4,000 vines per hectare, with production capped at 3.5 kg per vine.
Grapes
Glera.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested mechanically at night and softly pressed. Cold primary fermentation is followed by secondary fermentation in small stainless-steel tanks for at least 30 days according to the Charmat method. The bubbles derive from natural fermentation.
