Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the San Martino vineyard at the Le Fornaci estate. The property lies near Desenzano del Garda and San Martino della Battaglia, in the historic Lugana zone. Its mixed soils contain layers of fine sediments, predominantly calcareous clay and loam. The vines are trained with the traditional archetto system, in which the two canes retained after pruning are bent into arches and tied.
Grapes
100% Turbiana.
Vinification
The grapes undergo gentle pressing with light destemming. The must is clarified by natural sedimentation, followed by a slow fermentation at a controlled 14–18°C.
Ageing
Maturation takes place on fine lees and yeasts in stainless steel. The technical sheet specifies four months in stainless-steel tanks.
