Torre Zambra

Torre Zambra was founded in 1961 by Laurentino de Cerchio and is described as one of the oldest wineries in the Abruzzo region. It is now run by Laurentino's son and grandson.

The vineyards lie on the hills of Villamagna, at 150 to 300 metres above sea level. The area has a distinctive microclimate, described as one of the most suitable in the world for growing grapes. The soils are clay-limestone, rich in humus and nutrients. The nearby sea and mountains help the grapes ripen well.

The winery produces around 600,000 bottles of wine each year. Its wines are described as expressing the individual character of their terroir, with aroma, flavour and overall balance.
