Vineyard and terroir
Val d’Oca is based north of Venice, between Asolo and Conegliano at the foot of the Alps. Its cooperative members cultivate more than 700 ha of vineyards.
Grapes
The blend comprises 65% Pinot Grigio and 35% Pinot Nero, the latter contributing balance.
Vinification
The grapes are gently pressed under controlled temperatures to preserve their colour and freshness. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks for three months using the Charmat method.
Tasting profile
The aroma recalls wild berries. The palate is soft and refined, with a balanced, harmonious structure.
Serving and pairing
Suitable as an aperitif or with seafood and fresh cheeses.
Label / history
Val d’Oca was founded in 1952 by several local vineyard owners. The cooperative now comprises 583 producers and makes 9,600,000 bottles of Prosecco annually.
Punto Rosa Millesimato received a silver medal at Le Challenge International Du Vin in 2008 and a bronze medal at the Japan Wine Challenge in 2011. In 2010 it received the “3 Grappoli” award following an organoleptic assessment by the Italian association A.I.S. (“Duemilavini”).
