Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in Chianti Colli Senesi near Montepulciano. The vineyards lie at 550 m on loamy soils.
Vinification
After harvest, the grapes undergo a low-temperature pre-fermentation stage, followed by skin maceration. Malolactic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature.
Ageing
The wine ages for six months in Slavonian oak barrels, followed by six months in bottle.
Tasting profile
The wine has a tannic structure.
