Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown at Sambuca di Sicilia in the province of Agrigento. Limestone soils and proximity to Lake Arancio provide effective drainage, encouraging the roots to reach deeply for water and nutrients. The combination contributes minerality and crisp acidity, while sunshine at elevation supports concentrated aromas balanced by lively freshness.
Grapes
100% Grillo.
Vinification
After gentle pressing under reductive conditions, the must ferments at low temperature to preserve and develop its aromas.
Ageing
Maturation takes place in stainless-steel tanks.
Tasting profile
Bright straw yellow with golden highlights. The nose is fresh and mineral, with yellow flowers, peach and citrus fruit. The palate is flavoursome and full-bodied, showing further mineral character and a lightly bitter finish.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 10–12°C. Pair with fish dishes, particularly crab, as well as fresh cheeses, light risottos, couscous and fish soups. Smoked fish is another suitable match.
