About this wine

Origin: Cicala vineyard, Bussia, Monforte d’Alba.

Grapes: Nebbiolo, principally the Lampia biotype. Rootstock: Rupestris du Lot.

Vineyard: approximately 40–45 years old, maintained through periodic replacement of individual vines. South-south-west exposure. Clayey-calcareous soil rich in calcium carbonate and iron.

Harvest: manual, with selection in the vineyard, in mid-October.

Vinification: alcoholic fermentation in stainless-steel vats at variable temperatures reaching 32°C, with 30 days of skin contact.

Aging: after several rackings, the wine matures in oak casks.
