About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Aleatico grows on the volcanic soils of the Aldobrandesca estate in southern Maremma. These soils and the hot, dry Mediterranean summers let the grapes ripen slowly, developing aromatic complexity while keeping the wine's natural balance and freshness.
Grapes
Aleatico is an aromatic grape known since the Etruscan era.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness to preserve pure aromas and natural freshness. The juice spends 4–6 hours in brief cold maceration on the skins, which gives a delicate colour and subtle aromatic notes without too much tannin. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature, to retain clear flavours and the expressive character of Aleatico.
Ageing
The wine ages in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature.
Tasting profile
Delicate colour, subtle aromatic notes, little tannin, clear flavours, and the expressive character of Aleatico, with natural freshness and balance.
Label / history
"A" Rosato was created as a key project for the Antinori family, expressing their vision for high-quality rosé. The name "A" joins the Aldobrandesca estate, the native Aleatico grape and the Antinori family name.
