About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit is associated with the Montenisa estate around the hamlet of Calino, near Lake Iseo in the heart of Franciacorta. Vineyards surrounding the Maggi family’s villa have formed the centre of Marchese Antinori Franciacorta production since 1999.
Grapes
The Marchese Antinori Franciacorta Classics—including Cuvée Royale, Rosé and Blanc de Blancs—are made from a selection of Chardonnay, Pinot Nero and Pinot Bianco.
Vinification
The must fermented in stainless-steel tanks. Secondary fermentation took place in bottle.
Ageing
The wine remained on its lees in bottle for 24 months before disgorgement.
Tasting profile
Light yellow, with creamy bubbles and an elegant, persistent mousse. The fragrant, expressive nose recalls apple and white peach alongside floral notes. The palate is lively and fresh, balancing crispness with elegance and finesse.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 7–9 °C. Suitable with hors d’oeuvres, as an aperitif and with fish; its crisp character also suits after-dinner service.
