About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from Tufo and vineyards within the Greco di Tufo DOCG production area. The south-west-facing hillside sites lie at approximately 500 m above sea level and have clay-limestone soils. The vines are espalier-trained and Guyot-pruned, with 3,500 plants per hectare. Yield is 60 quintals per hectare, equivalent to approximately 1.7 kg per vine.

Grapes

100% Greco di Tufo.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested manually during the first ten days of October. Fully ripe fruit undergoes soft pressing, and the resulting must ferments in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 15–16 °C.

Ageing

Maturation takes place in stainless steel and bottle.

Technical data

Alcohol: 13.5%. Total acidity: 6.5–7.0 g/L.

Tasting profile

The colour is deep straw yellow, approaching gold. Aromas recall peach, apricot and sage. The palate is full-bodied, with pronounced acidity and characteristic minerality.
