About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The recently planted Nuovo Quadro vineyard is a small plot on the La Battistina estate in Gavi di Gavi. It lies at the foot of Battistina hill, on predominantly chalky, mineral-rich soils.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested entirely by hand, chilled to 5 °C at the winery and gently pressed. Following rapid flotation with nitrogen, the must ferments in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature for 25–30 days.

Ageing

After alcoholic fermentation, the wine is chilled and kept on its lees at 5 °C for four to six months, then filtered and bottled.

Tasting profile

Rich and aromatic, with intense fruit and citrus notes, refreshing acidity, a pleasant mineral character and good structure.
