About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from a 24 ha vineyard on the hills of the Orvieto Classico zone in Torricella. The site lies at 300–350 m above sea level, faces southwest and has clay soils.

Vinification

Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at 15–16 °C for about three weeks.

Ageing

The wine rests on its lees in steel tanks for five months.

Tasting profile

The 2010 vintage has fresh fruit and herbal aromas. The palate is soft and creamy, with savoury minerality and peach notes on the finish.

Label / history

The first vintage was released in 1980. The Bigi family's winemaking history began in 1880 with Luigi Bigi, who helped spread the reputation of the Orvieto region in Italy and abroad.
