About this wine
"A wine of fruit and vibrancy" from the estate's youngest vines and its fruit-forward plots, with the high-altitude freshness and structure to age. Fermented in cement vats and aged 12 months in oak — a shorter aging than the Brunello. Originally marketed as "Biondi-Santi Brunello white label", it became the official Rosso in 1983 when the Rosso di Montalcino DOC was established. Vintages on the site run 1989–2023.
