About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the producer’s vineyards in the Valpolicella Classico area of Veneto. This historic winemaking zone extends from the Lessini Mountains, in the Alpine foothills, south to the Adige River. Once covered by the sea, its soils are particularly rich in calcium and limestone deposits. The mountains provide protection, while nearby Lake Garda contributes to a mild climate that promotes even ripening.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand, usually between late September and early October. They are destemmed and gently pressed, then fermented at a controlled temperature and macerated on the skins for 10–15 days, with daily cap punching. Malolactic fermentation follows, contributing a smoother texture and greater aromatic complexity.
Ageing
The wine matures for nine months in Slavonian oak barrels, followed by one month in bottle.
Tasting profile
Elegant, with a rich, complex aroma, full flavour and a smooth texture.
