About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The tanaceto (tansy) flowers used to flavour the wine grow wild in La Morra.
Vinification
The base is Barolo that has not fully fermented, so it keeps some natural sweetness. Fermentation is stopped by adding a small amount of wine spirit, which gives a lightly sweet, aromatic wine of slightly higher alcohol. The wine is then infused with tanaceto flowers.
Tasting profile
Lightly sweet and aromatic. The tansy flowers add a gentle bitterness and a distinctive floral note.
Serving and pairing
Best served slightly chilled, after a meal.
