About this wine

Vinification

The grapes are sorted after harvest, then moved into the cellar by gravity.

Ageing

Ageing in French oak barrels adds distinctive nuances to the wine’s aromas and flavours.

Tasting profile

The wine combines strength and power with elegance and balance. Sangiovese contributes warmth, classic Italian character and an aroma of black cherry; Merlot adds sweet fruit notes, while Cabernet Sauvignon provides presence and structure.

Serving and pairing

Decant for two hours before serving.

Label / history

This limited edition was released to mark Rocca di Frassinello’s tenth harvest. Its label reproduces “Rapture of the Grape” by American artist David LaChapelle, whose original work is permanently displayed at the Rocca di Frassinello estate. LaChapelle intended the work to express the winery team’s relationship with wine and its history, together with their humility and pursuit of perfection. The wine was made in a very limited quantity.
