About this wine
Vignatorta is a dry Chianti from Castellare di Castellina, combining Sangioveto, Canaiolo and other local varieties. The 2022 bottling has 13% alcohol. Blackberry, raspberry and strawberry aromas meet a floral note of violet. The palate is rich and balanced, with soft, velvety tannins. Grapes undergo controlled-temperature fermentation in stainless steel, and the wine remains in steel before bottling. Serve at 16–18°C with pasta, salami, mushrooms or white-bean dishes.
