About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
Production is restricted to designated municipalities in the provinces of Forlì-Cesena, Ravenna and Bologna. Appellation rules regulate planting density, vine training and vineyard care. Forced cultivation practices are prohibited, while irrigation is permitted only as an emergency measure during drought.
Grapes
Albana must account for either all of the wine or at least 95% of the blend.
Vinification
Vinification must take place within the provinces of Forlì-Cesena, Ravenna or Bologna.
Label / history
The Romio range was established in 2002 as a selection of Italian wines. Romio Albana Secco received a bronze medal at the International Wine Challenge in 2015 and a silver medal at the IWSC in 2016.
