About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes are grown in the Chianti region.

Grapes

The wine is made exclusively from local grape varieties.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness from late September to early October. Maceration and fermentation take place in stainless-steel tanks under controlled temperatures, following the traditional method for dry red wines.

Ageing

The wine rests briefly in neutral vessels.

Serving and pairing

Pair with meat dishes, grilled meats, meat-based appetizers, pasta and cheeses.

Vintage notes

In Tuscany, spring 2019 was cooler and rainier than usual. Flowering began slightly late in June as warmer weather arrived. Summer temperatures were normal, with marked differences between daytime and nighttime temperatures. The resulting wines had deep colour, pronounced aromas, concentration and a refined texture.
