About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the Banditella vineyard, planted in 1998 on the hills of Montalcino at 300 m above sea level. The 1,750 m Mount Amiata range protects the vines from severe weather, heavy rain and hail, while the Mediterranean climate supports ripening.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand at full ripeness. The best berries are selected and undergo a second sorting before maceration at temperatures no higher than 28 °C. The wine then completes malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine rests in French oak barrels for at least one year.
