About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The 6 ha vineyard at Dardi le Rose in Monforte occupies south- and southwest-facing slopes at 300–350 m above sea level.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand, usually during the second and third weeks of October. After destemming and crushing, they macerate on the skins for 12–15 days at 30 °C, followed by malolactic fermentation.

Ageing

The wine matures in large Slovenian oak casks for 24–28 months.

Tasting profile

Complex, refined and powerful.
