About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The vineyards lie on the hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene in Veneto, at the heart of the historic Strada del Vino Prosecco. The area has a mild climate and clay soils.

Vinification

The grapes are gently pressed before temperature-controlled fermentation. The Charmat method is used: a second fermentation takes place at a lower temperature in sealed tanks, followed by bottling under pressure. Dosage brings the residual sugar to 18 g/L.

Tasting profile

Fresh, balanced and velvety, with a distinctive aroma and refined flavour. The area's terroir gives the winery's wines expressive fruit and floral aromas.

Vintage notes

The 2021 harvest in Veneto was slightly smaller than the previous year's. Some vineyards experienced frost during budding, followed by heavy rain and hail as the grapes ripened. Temperatures were generally low during flowering and fruit set; from June they matched seasonal averages and peaked during the first ten days of August. Despite these conditions, the grapes remained healthy and of good quality.

Label / history

The large number on the bottle's neck represents the residual sugar level of 18 g/L. The Strada del Vino Prosecco was historically used to transport wines made from Prosecco grapes.
