About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The estate is based at Vistorta in western Friuli. The region comprises coastal plains, mountains and plateaus shaped by Alpine tectonic and geomorphological processes over millions of years. Its complex, mineral-rich soils contain high levels of lime and clay. In the vineyards, planting density and crop size are closely controlled, with green pruning used when needed.
Grapes
The Chardonnay grapes are carefully selected.
Vinification
The grapes are gently pressed after harvest. Fermentation and maceration take place under strictly controlled temperatures, followed by partial malolactic fermentation in new barrels.
Tasting profile
The wine has a delicate aroma and an elegant, well-balanced palate.
Serving and pairing
Recommended pairings include fish dishes, cheeses, appetizers and soufflés.
