About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The vineyards are in Friuli. During the growing season, the vines are pruned, weaker shoots are removed at bud set, and excess clusters are thinned after flowering to maintain low yields. Leaves shading the developing fruit are also thinned toward the end of the early flowering period.

Vinification

Healthy, ripe, evenly matured grapes are harvested at the end of September, shortly before the autumn rains. After brief skin contact, the must ferments at a controlled temperature.

Ageing

The wine rests on its lees for two months with regular stirring, followed by four months in steel tanks.

Tasting profile

The lively nose has notes of green pepper, banana and melon. The palate is fresh and elegant.

Serving and pairing

A short decant is recommended. The wine can be served as an aperitif and paired with egg-based dishes, roasted vegetables or fish with sauce.
