About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The family estate owns 26 hectares of vineyards in the Langhe district. Surrounded by Lebanese cedars, the vineyards lie at 200 metres above sea level; almost all are grouped around the hilltop winery in Annunziata.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in mid-September, destemmed and pressed. The juice settles for one week before racking, then ferments for one month in stainless-steel tanks at 13–15 °C. Malolactic fermentation follows on the lees for one month, after which the wine clarifies naturally in stainless steel.
Ageing
The wine rests in bottle for two months before release.
Tasting profile
The bouquet combines floral, fruit and nut aromas. The palate is refreshing.
Label / history
The estate’s winemaking history began in 1920, when Montafaletto passed from the Falletti family, wine producers since the Middle Ages, to the Montezemolo family.
