About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Aglianico comes from a single vineyard on volcanic soils in the area of the extinct Vulture volcano, at the northern end of the mountain range crossing Basilicata. The site lies at 400 m and faces east and southeast.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness. Traditional red-wine vinification includes 15 days of maceration followed by fermentation.
Ageing
The wine rests for five years, including two years in oak barrels.
