About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Nebbiolo comes from a small plot at the highest point of the hill in the historic Cannubi vineyard. The vines are 50–70 years old.

Vinification

Fermentation lasts three weeks. The must then macerates for 30 days using the traditional submerged-cap method.

Ageing

The wine matures for at least five years in large oak casks, followed by a further 24 months in bottle.

Tasting profile

The aroma is layered, with bright berry notes. The palate is complex and powerful, with a developed character shaped by the long maturation.

Label / history

The 2009 vintage was released in limited quantities, as was the 2008. Its retro-style label refers to the traditional regional methods used in its production.
