About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the Montefusco site, where the vines were planted in 1998 at an altitude of 750 m. The vineyard lies on steep slopes with limestone and clay soils.
Grapes
The grapes are selected before vinification.
Vinification
Harvest takes place by hand during the first ten days of October. The grapes are collected in 15 kg crates and transported to the winery, where they are sorted, destemmed and gently pressed. Skin maceration is followed by fermentation in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 years in steel tanks, followed by two years in bottle in the winery’s cellars.
