About this wine
Vinification
The grapes are harvested from September to October and sorted so that only selected, juicy berries are used. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, followed immediately by malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine matures for 24 months in French oak barrels, half new and half previously used once. It then rests for a further six months in bottle in the winery’s cellars before release.
Label / history
“Millepassi” means “one thousand steps” in Italian. The name refers both to an ancient Roman road and to the old unit of length called the “milium”, equivalent to 1,480 metres.
