About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the province of Friuli. After acquiring two previously overlooked vineyards in the mid-20th century, the Dorigo family increased their planting density severalfold, reducing bunch weight to concentrate flavour.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand, carefully selected and sorted, and dried on reed mats. They are then pressed slowly and gently, with dry ice used for cooling to preserve their aromatic character. Fermentation takes place in barriques.
Tasting profile
Elegant, light and refined, with only a faint trace of residual sugar. It is distinctive rather than rich or heavy.
Label / history
The Dorigo family acquired the two vineyards in the mid-20th century and combined their traditions and history with modern technology, investing in vineyard machinery, fermentation barriques and reed mats for drying the grapes.
