About this wine

Grapes

Pàtrimo is made exclusively from Merlot. It is the only Feudi di San Gregorio wine produced from an international grape variety and presents Merlot through the distinctive conditions of Irpinia.

Technical data

Campania Rosso IGT. The listed vintage is 2019, in a 0.75 L bottle. The wine contains sulfites.

Tasting profile

The wine is ruby red, simultaneously clear and visually impenetrable. Its aromatic profile combines jam made from small black fruits with sweet spices, eucalyptus, vanilla and coffee. On the palate, the tannins are sweet, fine and soft, while the overall balance is harmonious. The finish is notably persistent, carrying fruit, spice and roasted nuances.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 18 °C. Pàtrimo can be enjoyed on its own and pairs well with roasted or stewed red meats and aged cheeses.

Label / history

Pàtrimo originated from the chance discovery of a grape variety within the estate. It remains the sole wine in the Feudi di San Gregorio range devoted to an international variety, showing the expression of pure Merlot in Irpinia.
