About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from three areas: Vezza d’Alba, Montaldo and Monteu Roero. The vineyards occupy mid-slope sites with southern and southwestern exposures.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in early October. Fermentation and maceration take place over 10–12 days at a controlled temperature of 28 °C.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months in French Allier oak barrels, followed by 6–7 months in bottle.
