About this wine

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel vats for 11 days at 25 °C, followed by maceration and malolactic fermentation.

Ageing

The wine matures for six months in stainless-steel vats, followed by one month in bottle.

Tasting profile

Soft and fruity, with strength, a modern style and clear definition.

Vintage notes

In 2021, a rainy start to the year in Tuscany created excellent soil-water reserves. Budbreak began in April, slightly later than in 2020 following a sharp fall in temperature during the second half of the month. Warm weather in May accelerated the growing cycle, and flowering took place from 20 to 25 May in warm, dry conditions. Veraison began in early August. Favourable September weather allowed the grapes to reach phenolic ripeness while retaining acidity, and they remained in excellent health.

Label / history

The bottle bears the Frescobaldi family crest, created by the artist Ghirlandaio in the 15th century to symbolise the union of history and innovation.
