About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from a single vineyard in Montecarotto. Its medium-textured soil alternates between clay-rich and sandy zones. A deliberately low yield of 70 q/ha and harvesting at full ripeness underpin the wine’s structure and capacity to develop over time.
Grapes
100% Verdicchio.
Vinification
The grapes are carefully selected at full maturity. Whole bunches undergo gentle pressing, followed by cold settling of the must. Fermentation takes place in French oak barriques.
Ageing
The wine spends 12 months in barriques with bâtonnage, followed by at least two years of bottle maturation in a temperature-controlled facility. Fermentation and maturation in small oak barrels are intended to give the wine an elegant structure and extended longevity.
Technical data
Yield: 70 q/ha (7,000 kg/ha). Bottle size: 750 ml.
Tasting profile
Bright yellow with golden reflections. The bouquet is complex and refined, combining ripe fruit and yellow flowers with vanilla notes from the oak and showing long aromatic persistence. The palate is richly structured, complex, harmonious and persistent.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 12–14 °C. Pair with first courses, truffles, elaborate fish preparations, white meats, other meat-based dishes and aged cheeses. The wine can mature for up to ten years; in the finest vintages, careful storage may allow development for 15 years or longer.
