About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from vines aged 15–20 years, with yields limited to 60 centners per hectare.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in the first ten days of September and destemmed immediately. The must ferments in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
Ageing
The wine rests in steel vessels for four months.
Label / history
The contemporary bottle has a label designed to resemble a piece of fabric; each wine in the range has its own texture and colour scheme.
The history of Borgo Magredo under Genagricola began in 1989, when the company acquired the estate. During the following 20 years, more than 200 hectares of vineyards were replanted, including experimental-variety plots. Equipment, production methods and cellar facilities were also upgraded. Borgo Magredo wines were sold in Italy and abroad.
