About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from vines aged 15–20 years, with yields limited to 70 quintals per hectare.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested during the first week of September and destemmed immediately. The must ferments at a controlled temperature in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine rests in steel vessels for four months.
Label / history
Genagricola acquired Borgo Magredo in 1989 and subsequently modernized its vineyards, equipment, production methods and cellar facilities. Over the following 20 years, more than 200 hectares were replanted, including plots with experimental grape varieties. The wine is presented in a modern bottle with a textured, fabric-like label, produced in varying colours.
