About this wine
Grapes
Friulano, formerly known as Tokay and also called Tai, is native to Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The variety was renamed following Hungary’s application to the European Union concerning its name’s similarity to Hungarian Tokay wine; the Italian grape and Hungarian wine are distinct.
Ageing
After fermentation, the wine rests on fine lees in stainless-steel tanks for five months, followed by two months in bottle.
Tasting profile
The wine has a compact structure and a lightly salty character. The nose offers delicate notes of wildflowers, while the palate shows hints of apple and peach.
