About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Chardonnay grows in the municipality of Treiso at 380 m above sea level. The vineyards face east. Soils are mainly sandy, with clay and limestone. The vines average 40 years of age.
Vinification
Harvest dates vary with the weather of the year, but picking generally runs from the beginning of September to 15 September. The must undergoes 20 hours of cold maceration, then ferments at 12–14 °C for 3 weeks.
Ageing
The wine ages for 6 months in stainless steel tanks, to preserve as much as possible of the freshness typical of Chardonnay.
Tasting profile
Very fresh, with a long-lasting aroma, strength and character. Somewhat reminiscent of Chablis.
