About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit is grown at Rovereto in Piedmont, near the Apennines. The vines are rooted in Pliocene grey marl mixed with loose sand. Hot summers, cold, piercing autumns and foggy winters shape the area's wines. The soils encourage the high acidity characteristic of the grapes.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in the final week of September and gently pressed. The must ferments at a controlled temperature, with the vinification managed to preserve acidity. The wine is bottled in the spring following the harvest.
Tasting profile
Warm, pale straw in appearance, with a fresh, balanced palate.
Label / history
The estate is a historic winemaking centre in Rovereto. A Benedictine monastery was founded on the site as early as the ninth century. The 110 ha estate is now owned by the Lamborghini family.
