About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
La Giustiniana has discontinued the use of pesticides and other chemicals across its 110 ha of vineyards. The vines are planted at a density of 4,000 per hectare and are managed for low yields. Mineral-rich soils contain high levels of iron and gravel. Piedmont’s sunlit hills promote ripening, while the nearby Alps shelter the vineyards from cold, harsh winds.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in late September and carefully selected before gentle pressing. Fermentation takes place at a strictly controlled temperature. The wine is bottled in spring.
Tasting profile
Crisp and fresh, with flinty acidity.
Label / history
Approximately 25,000 bottles are produced each year.
