About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie near the Adriatic Sea in a mild Mediterranean climate, on clay-limestone soils rich in trace elements. The vines are 36 years old and planted at 5,000 vines per hectare. Yields do not exceed 80 hectolitres.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested from late August to early September. The berries undergo 48 hours of cold pre-fermentation maceration, then are gently pressed. The must is transferred to temperature-controlled tanks for slow fermentation.
Ageing
The wine matures in steel tanks for several months.
