About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown on the 23 ha Tenuta Maccan estate in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, in a mild Mediterranean climate. The clay soils are rich in dolomitic limestone, trace elements and mineral deposits. The vineyards are planted at 4,300 vines/ha.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested during the first ten days of September. After brief settling, the must ferments in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
Ageing
After fermentation, the wine remains on its fine lees until the following spring.
Tasting profile
The aroma is delicate, while the palate is fresh, refined and elegant.
