About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Pinot Grigio is grown on the 23 ha Tenuta Maccan estate in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, in a mild Mediterranean climate. The soils are mainly clay and limestone, with dolomitic limestone, mineral deposits and trace elements that contribute freshness and brightness to the grapes.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested in the first week of September. A 48-hour cold pre-fermentation maceration is followed by gentle pressing and fermentation at a controlled temperature.

Ageing

The wine matures in steel tanks.

Tasting profile

Elegant and expressive, with an appealing floral bouquet and a soft, balanced palate.

Label / history

Tenuta Maccan was established in 2012.
